This 450-bed general hospital was on the front lines of the Second Lebanon War in 2006, and must build protected underground facilities in preparation for the next war. Bnai Zion has been voted the number one hospital of choice in Northern Israel for eight consecutive years.

Edith Wolfson Medical Center
Edith Wolfson Medical Center is a governmental hospital with a very limited budget serving a population of 500,000 citizens of Holon, Bat Yam, Jaffa and Southern Tel Aviv, among them Jews, Arabs and new immigrants. Donations made to the "Friends of the Edith Wolfson Medical Center" are used mostly to purchase advanced medical equipment and support professional training of doctors and nurses. ZAKA
ZAKA, Israel's dominant non-governmental rescue and recovery organization, operates over 1500 volunteers, on call 24/7 to respond to all incidents of unnatural death (including traffic accidents and terror) and ensure a full Jewish burial. ZAKA is active in emergency response, search and rescue (specialist canine, divers and rappelling units) and accident prevention. UN-recognized, ZAKA also operates at international disasters (eg, Mumbai, tsunami).

ALUT - The Isaeli Society for Autistic Children
Aluts' mission is to anesure the welbeing, rehabilitation, the economical and social future of people with autism in Israel. Alut operates 10 rehabilitation day cares 10 occupational centers and 18 hostels, trains professionals and support over 4000 of the families.
BEIT ISSIE SHAPIRO
Beit Issie Shapiro operates to improve the rights of people with special needs and ensure their access to high quality services: Providing educational, treatment and support services for families, Changing attitudes towards people with disabilities, improving their physical and social inclusion and rights , Developing knowledge and improving services by investing in action-based research and training service providers. Through these strategies we impact some 20,000 people annually.
Enosh, The Israeli Mental Health Association
Enosh promotes the welfare and rights of individuals dealing with psychiatric disabilities, and provides a framework of support for their families. Founded thirty years ago, our self-empowerment programs advance social and vocational reintegration into the community, and are run through 54 centers throughout Israel, from Kiryat Shmona to Eilat, in development towns, peripheral settlements and the Arab sector. Professional staff are assisted by some 750 volunteers.
ERAN
The Israeli association for emotional first aid Israel's only emotional first aid service provides a confidential 24- hour, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The hotline offers unconditional emotional support to those who are alone, depressed or in crisis.
The Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind
Since 1991, we have been raising, training & providing guide dogs for blind & visually-impaired Israelis. Whether they were born blind or lost their sight through illness or injury, they discover a new world of freedom, mobility & independence through the use of guide dogs. The Partnership between user & Guide Dog costs about $25,000, yet, we provide the dog, instruction & regular home visits during the dog's working life free. We are a registered non-profit organization supported mainly by people "with vision".
MELABEV
Melabev operates nine day care centers in Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh and a home care program. Innovative therapeutic and social activities add quality of life to Alzheimer's sufferers. Our professionals offer guidance, counseling and support services for family caregivers. Your contributions help financially disadvantaged families forestall institutionalization of their loved one.
NATAL
NATAL: Israel Trauma Center for Victims of Terror and War, an apolitical NGO, for all Israeli citizens. NATAL gives children and adults psychological crisis intervention and long-term treatment. NATAL has assisted thousands of Israelis, using a multidisciplinary approach through a Hotline, Clinical team, Mobile Unit, Community Outreach Team, and a Multi - Disciplinary Center for Trauma Studies.
Ohr Meir & Bracha
The Terror Victims Support Center "Ohr Meir & Bracha" assists terror victim families in crisis. The families are sent, via social workers to our center, with a request for free weekly food parcels & financial help. We assist over 400 families & give out 1,500 food parcels each week from our center in & outside the Jerusalem area. Unfortunately many terror victims fall into crisis, they lose their jobs and some are not well enough to work.
Shalheveth
Shalheveth began its activities in 1986 when a small group of resolute individuals set in motion a project to improve the quality of life for severely physically disabled adults. Today, the organization manages an independent living project for severely disabled adults and their caregivers; coordinates cultural and social activities for disabled adults in the community at-large; provides specially-equipped transportation services and organizes a once-in-a-lifetime overseas trip.
SHEKEL
SHEKEL enables people with special needs to live, work and participate in the community. SHEKEL's group homes, vocational rehabilitation, leisure, and other programs promote independence and maximize potential. SHEKEL cares for 8,000 people and impacts on thousands. 40% of SHEKEL's budget must be raised from foundations and individuals in Israel and abroad. SHEKEL has 501 (3) (c) status and donations are income tax deductible in Israel and abroad.

American Associates, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (AABGU)
AABGU plays a vital role in enhancing Ben-Gurion University's (BGU) mission to build a world-class institution of research and education in the desert. A pioneer and leader in environmental science, water management, alternative energy, medicine and global health, engineering, biotechnology, Hebrew literature and more, BGU is a university with a conscience, where the highest academic standards are integrated with community outreach. AABGU's nine regional offices offer informative forums, featuring BGU faculty, researchers and students.
BEIT MORIAH
Beit Moriah seeks to advance and support educational, welfare and cultural activities in Beer Sheva and the Negev region. Beer Sheva's sizeable immigrant population and number of economically distressed families, places unprecedented demands on the city's social, education and welfare services. These realities combine to produce some of the poorest neighbourhoods in the country. Using practical means, Beit Moriah intervenes on numerous fronts in the effort to narrow social and economic gaps.
AMIT nurtures
AMIT nurtures and educates Israeli children to become productive, contributing members of society. Its more than 70 schools, youth villages, surrogate family residences, and other programs are located in 23 cities and communities throughout Israel, enroll more than 20,000 children, and provide a continuity of values-based, academic excellence from kindergarten through junior college.
Bnei David - Eli, The Military Yeshiva Academy of Israel
The pre- and post-army programs at the military yeshiva academy of Bnei David - Eli have been making a positive impact on the IDF for 20 years. Over 50% of Bnei David's graduates become combat or elite commando units officers. At any given moment over 400 Mechinah graduates are in uniform, faithfully serving their country. Major Yoni Netanel z"l, one of Operation Cast Lead's first IDF casualties, learned at Bnei David.
Givat Haviva
Givat Haviva (founded 1949), the national education campus of the Kibbutz Artzi Federation, enjoys a unique reputation thanks to its vast professional experience of 60 years in developing a true shared society, resisting racism and all forms of discrimination and fostering a greater understanding between different groups in Israeli society and among nations, through educating for peace, democracy, coexistence, women's and minorities' rights and social solidarity.

MERCHAVIM - The Institute for the Advancement of Shared Citizenship in Israel

A growing range of programs, developed in full cooperation with the Ministry of Education, provides creative, age-appropriate activities from kindergarten to 12th grade. Ulpan Akiva is the center for strengthening your connection with Jewish identity through the Hebrew language and Israeli culture. Aleh's network cares for Israel's most severely disabled children, offering the best available care and the opportunity to develop to full potential. Aleh provides 650 children and young adults with the specialized services they need to live a quality life: residential living, medical care, rehabilitative and therapeutic treatment, special education, vocational training, and social activities.

Beit HaGalgalim
Beit Hagalgalim, the non-profit organization dedicated to rehabilitating and assisting disabled children and young adults in Israel, is evacuating youngsters from the south to safe haven in the center of the country. We are requesting assistance in providing transportation, room and board and special activities for these youngsters.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Israel
Since 2003, Big Brother Big Sisters of Israel (BBBS) has been making a significant contribution to lonely children and teens at-risk from single-parent families. These Little Brothers and Sisters are matched with dedicated, adult volunteer mentors (Big Brothers and Sisters) who meet together weekly in order to achieve a warm, supportive and long-lasting relationship. Through positive role modeling, this relationship has the capacity to profoundly impact a child's future.
Birthday Angels - Every child deserves a birthday party
Over 4000 disadvantaged Israeli children have celebrated their birthday, most of them for the first time thanks to Birthday Angels. A $36 donation provides a party kit filled with beautiful games, decorations, music and prizes. VOLUNTEERS use these kits to give the children a party that builds their self esteem and enhances their sense of self worth. After the party the child makes a thank you card which we send back to the Angel sharing the joy. It takes only $36 to make a child feel like a million dollars. Be an angel and give these children what every child deserves.
KEREN MALKI
Hundreds of families of special-needs children from all parts of Israeli society are empowered to choose home care for their child by Keren Malki. Our essential help ranges from physical, occupational, speech and other therapies to cost-free loans of indispensable home-care equipment. We enable families who face huge challenges to give what not even the best institution can: loving home care. Honoring the memory of Malki Roth, a victim of Hamas.
KERREN OR
"KERREN OR" - operates a variety of programs designed to help and support youth at risk in Sderot, including: hot meal, learning, extreme sport activities, drama, computers, pro-society activities, gardening, and leadership programs. Our daycare center needs to build fortifications against the thousands of rocket and artillery shells that have been launched in our direction from Gaza, as we don?t receive government funding..
MATOK BALEV - SDEROT
"Matok BaLev"-Sderot, a network of after-school centers for 93 at-risk children under the care of the welfare department of Sderot. The Matok BaLev centers provide warm homes until 19.00, 5 days a week with 2 nourishing meals, cultural and educational enrichment and personal empowerment for the children and their families. These centers prevent deterioration to crime and violence and exposure to the missiles fired at Sderot.

MICHA
The MICHA Multidisciplinary Center for Children with Hearing Loss, Tel-Aviv and Central Israel, cares annually for approximately 300 deaf and hard of hearing babies and children from varied backgrounds, religions, ethnicities and socio-economic levels. The philosophy behind MICHA is to enable a child with hearing loss to develop spoken communication and to understand speech through early intervention during the critical stages of infancy and early childhood, while involving parents and the community in the rehabilitation process.
Nitzan - For the Advancement of Children with Learning Disabilities
Nitzan is Israel's premier organization for helping children and adults with learning disabilities. It operates in 35 state of the art centers throughout the country, helping children to reach their full learning potential and become productive members and leaders in our society.
TALPIOT Community for its children
Talpiot is a non-profit organization, which addresses at-risk children and youth aged 5-22 and their families, in Hadera and the region. It operates residential facilities in its Children Village and a regional continuum of services, all focused on treating children and their families concurrently, thus creating a significant change that enables the swift return of children home.
Tsad Kadima - The association for Conductive Education in Israel
Tsad Kadima is operating rehabilitative frameworks for children and adolescents with CP all through Israel, using the conductive education method. The aim of the rehabilitative work is to enable every child maximize his skills and abilities and be included into mainstream as an equal into society. We are training our professionals (conductors) who apply the Conductive education methods after 3 years of training.
Yad Ezra V'Shulamit
1 out of every 3 children in Israel lives below the poverty level. Yad Ezra V'Shulamit is working to eliminate that number by providing underprivileged children and their families with food, education, counseling, dental care, clothing - and a chance to break out of the cycle of poverty. With locations throughout the country, the staff and over 1000 volunteers are reaching thousands of children and giving them a chance for a normal future.
Women's rights
Efrat-C.R.I.B.
There are close to 50,000 abortions in Israel every year many of which are due to economic concerns and can be prevented. The Efrat-C.R.I.B. organization saves over 2,000 children every year by providing support to pregnant women in distress. Efrat provides mothers with a crib, stroller, and monthly packages of food, diapers and formula for a year all for free and matches each one with one of Efrat's 3,000 volunteers which provides social support. You can actually save a life of a Jewish child in Israel!
El Halev
El Halev is a non-profit organization dedicated to changing Israeli society by empowering women through the martial arts and self-defense. Our organization helps women of all ages from throughout the political, religious and social spectrum to grow physically, spiritually and socially, and to work together to expand the positive influence of martial arts and self-defense training on our lives and the lives of others in need.
Rape Crisis Centers in Israel
In 1990, with sexual violence in Israeli society on the rise, the nine individual Rape Crisis Centers in Israel joined forces to create the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel. The Rape Crisis Centers work at the individual and local levels - providing essential, crisis-oriented assistance to victims of sexual assault and those who are close to them. While the Association, as an umbrella agent for social change, advocates on the national level, with the primary purpose of combating all aspects of sexual violence.

Be - Atzmi
Be-Atzmi (On My Own), An NGO operating in Israel since 1995, is dedicated to advancing disadvantaged populations in the field of employment and education. Be-Atzmi's programs target people from the social and geographic periphery in Israel, and provide them with comprehensive programs that enable them personal empowerment, economic growth and successful integration into the Israeli workforce and society. Be-Atzmi Currently operates 31 projects in 25 communities throughout Israel, from Hatzor Hagelilit in the North to Arad in the south.
Be'er-Sova
Set up in 1999, Be'er-Sova is a non-profit organization, aim to supply free food to needy people in Be'er Sheva and the surrounding area. We are committed to work toward alleviation of poverty and hunger, by conducting the following projects: Restaurant for the Needy, Meal-on-Wheels Program, Food Packages Delivery and Gamal After-School Program . All our projects are run with the help of volunteers and are made possible thanks to donations support from Israel and abroad.
Chasdei Yosef
Chasdei Yosef, a Jerusalem-based non-profit welfare organization, was founded in 1983. We take a holistic approach to giving and evaluate the needs of each individual to effectively maximize the impact of our assistance. Programs included both maintenance and rehabilitation. From our soup kitchens to food packages, from an afternoon program for children-at-risk to a professional training center for impoverished women, Chasdei Yosef's initiatives are both comprehensive and effective.

The Gush Etzion Foundation a non profit organization, was created for the benefit and welfare of the communities and residents in Gush Etzion, in the fields of health, security/safety, education, social welfare, religious activity, tourism, culture/sport, immigrant absorption and preserving the heritage and history of Gush Etzion. The foundation is a registered non profit in Israel and in the USA.
KATEF LE-KATEF
The economic situation of the past five years has created a situation in which many families, including the middle class, have joined the circle of poverty and neediness. "Shoulder to Shoulder" aims to empower economically distressed families to break out of the cycle of poverty by joining the ranks of the productive work force using the guidance and support of mentoring families. Mentoring families assist families in distress to attain economic independence and stability as well as social and cultural strength.
KEDMA ISRAEL
Our mission is to support underprivileged populations through creative social action projects run by overseas student volunteers. Since 1996, Kedma has touched the lives of tens of thousands of people from a variety of sectors, while providing programming for over 20,000 students Our projects include spa for underprivileged women, medical clown internship, carnivals for Ethiopian children, bone marrow campaign for gift of life.
The Fund for Strengthening Israel's Defense - For the IDF soldiers fighting in GAZA
At this moment thousands of soldiers are risking their lives fighting Hamas, in order to achieve peace and security for Israel's southern communities. Now is the time to act! The LIBI fund collects donations from around the world for the soldiers of the IDF. Each dollar donated is directly used to buy protective gear, warm clothing, and other items that help IDF soldiers. Let us remember the soldiers are there for us! We are here for them.
KEREN BETH PROTEA
BETH PROTEA, Israel's premiere retirement facility, was established by the ex-Southern African community in Israel 16 years ago as a non-profit organization to provide former Southern African senior citizens with a facility where they could live in dignity. KEREN BETH PROTEA was established with the prime purpose of raising funds to financially assist those who qualify towards their stay in retirement facilities in Israel. This distinguishes BETH PROTEA as a true community project.
Yad Eliezer
Yad Eliezer represents a nationwide network of social welfare programs - including food distribution; job training; loan assistance; Big Brother/ Sister mentoring; and free dental clinics. Working together with thousands of volunteers, friends, and donors around the world Yad Elizer is able to combat poverty while striving to engender economic recovery and social development throughout Israel.

ADJ - The Association for Distributive Justice
ADJ is an NGO established in 2004 in order to promote the equitable allocation of public resources in Israel, specifically in the field of land and The Israel Land Authority, aiming to significantly impact the socio-economic fabric and democratic values of the society. KEREN KAYEMETH LEISRAEL - JEWISH NATIONAL FUND
KKL-JNF leads the quest for a Greener, more environmental Israel. KKL-JNF's work in Israel and worldwide is concentrated in six areas that include water management - reservoirs & river renewal; forestry; education on eco-Zionism; community development - land redemption; tourism & recreation - parks, historical and archaeological restoration; and R&D on desertification, global warming, agriculture and Nature.
