Explanation of all Nomination Categories:

Best Overall Blog. A blog is eligible for this category if it is a Jewish, Israeli or Israel advocacy blog, receiving fewer than 5,000 unique visits a day (verifiable from Truth Laid Bear traffic ranking, or other stats counter.)

Best Overall Mega-Blog. A blog is eligible for this category if it is a Jewish, Israeli or Israel advocacy blog, receiving 5,000 or more unique visits a day (verifiable from Truth Laid Bear traffic ranking, or other stats counter.)

Best New Blog 2005: Nominate your favorite Jewish, Israeli, or Israel advocacy Blog inaugurated this year.

Best Group Blog: Blogs which have multiple contributors. The Blog must either comprise a majority of Jewish posters or can be an Israel advocacy Blog written by Jews and non-Jews alike.

Best Designed Blog: Blogs in this category should have a distinctive, original and visually appealing presentation. To be eligible the blog must feature Jewish, Israeli, or Israel advocacy content.

Best Personal Blog: Blogs dealing predominantly with the blogger's life. To be eligible the blog must feature Jewish or Israeli themes.

Best Life in Israel Blog: The writer must live in Israel and provide a compelling perspective about what life is like here.

Best Jewish Religion Blog: To be considered a Jewish Religion Blog, a blog must deal extensively with Judaism and Torah-related topics. This may include those blogs written by observant members of the Jewish community, who speak of their own experiences in the religious world.

Best Jewish Culture Blog: To be considered a Jewish Culture Blog, a blog must deal extensively with Jewish cultural issues, not necessarily within the framework of religion (e.g. Jewish pop culture).

Best Humor Blog: Anything that brings a smile to your face. To be eligible the blog must feature Jewish or Israeli content.

Best Israel Advocacy Blog: To be considered an Israel Advocacy Blog, a blog must deal extensively with issues relating to Israel, in the context of promoting Israel and Zionism, or presenting Israel's side of the conflict. This includes blogs written by Jews and non-Jews alike.

Best Politics and Current Affairs Blog: Blogs in this category should deal predominantly with currents affairs central to the Israeli or Jewish world or should offer an interpretation of world events with an eye towards Israeli or Jewish interests.

Best Post: Nominate the single blog post, by a particular blogger, which made the most significant impression on you over the past year. To be eligible the blog must feature Jewish, Israeli, or Israel advocacy content.

Best Series: Nominate a series of entries written by any blogger centering around a particular theme. To be eligible the series must feature Jewish, Israeli, or Israel advocacy content.

Best Student Life Blog: Blogs in this category must be written by someone currently enrolled in a college or university, and feature Jewish or Israeli themes.

Best Podcast: Nominations for this category should relate to podcasts comprising Jewish, Israeli or Israel advocacy content.
