A Country on Strike

 Who's on Strike

ISRAEL AIRPORTS AUTHORITY
Operations at all of Israel's airports will be severely disrupted. Flights to and from Ben-Gurion Airport may be rescheduled to depart Israel before the strike goes in affect. Airport workers will not refuel planes, or unload baggage.
BANKS
Israel's commercial banks will be closed. No processing of deposits, withdrawals, or restocking of ATMs.
PORT AND RAILWAY AUTHORITY
Israel's seaports will be closed for both passenger and commercial uses. Dock workers will not unload goods, and products for export will remain in Israel.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Both Egged and Dan bus cooperatives have recruited all administrative workers with bus licenses, as well as pensioners. The companies salaried bus drivers are expected to join the strike, causing disruptions in certain lines.
ALL GOVERNMENT MINISTRIES
All government ministries will be closed including: Interior Ministry, Licensing Bureaus, Israel Lands Authority offices, courts and employment service branches. If you need to update your passport, take out a new ID card, extend a tourist visa, take a practical or theoretical drivers examination, you will need to wait until after the strike is over.
ISRAEL POSTAL AUTHORITIES
Mail will not be collected or delivered, and post offices will be closed.
BEZEQ
Telecommunications workers will not repair downed phone lines or other technical difficulties. Severe disruptions will also take place in Bezeq's information line, 144.
OIL REFINERIES LTD.
Workers will not supply Israel's fuel companies with gasoline and diesel. Disruptions will be felt if the strike lingers.
MEKOROT WATER COMPANY
Workers will not repair disruptions.
SCHOOLS
Schools are expected to be shut down, but special education and university classes are expected to be held as scheduled.
CUSTOMS AND VAT AUTHORITY
Customs workers will be on strike. Goods requiring customs clearances will remain at the cargo hold of Ben-Gurion cargo holds, or in various customs offices in the ports of Ashdod, Eilat and Haifa.
ISRAEL ELECTRIC
Employees will not fix disruptions in the supply of power, unless they are life threatening.
MUNICIPALITY WORKERS
Sanitation workers will not collect trash, and parking wardens will not issue fines..
