Michael Patrick Shiels in Israel

Michael Patrick Shiels: the host of The Big Show comes across the airwaves every weekday morning from 6 to 10AM, EST, statewide on the Michigan Talk Radio Network with its flagship, Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM.

He was the last producer for the late Hall of Fame radio star J.P. McCarthy, who for over 30 years hosted Michigan's #1 morning news talk show. Shiels also worked with Marconi Award-winning morning radio funnyman Dick Purtan,one of the longest-running radio hosts in Michigan, as well as Paul W. Smith, Frank Beckmann, Roberta Jasina, and Mark Champion.

Michael Patrick Shiels has also authored and collaborated on seven books, including: J.P. McCarthy ­ Just Don't Tell 'em Where I Am, Good Bounces and Bad Lies ­ the autobiography of Ben Wright, Speak Wright ­ a Literate Guide to the Game of Golf, Golf's Short Game For Dummies, and Crown My Dad and Me (with Larry King.)

He made his first visit to and broadcast from Israel, along with Michigan Talk Network GM Tim Hygh, as a guest of America's Voices in Israel and the Israel Ministry of Tourism.
