What is a "cookie?"
A cookie is a small piece of text that is stored in your browser. Most of the current browsers let the users display the stored cookies and their values.
Why are they used?
One important benefit you get by using cookies is the automatic member login feature. When you check "Remember my ID on this computer," the site stores a long-term unique cookie on your browser that enables the Web site to automatically log you in as a member the next time you activate the browser and go to jpost.com.
What does it mean when it says: "Registration requires cookies turned on in your browser?"
JPost.com registration uses Session Cookies to be able to identify you as a member and allow you to enter membership-required areas of the site. Session Cookies are cookies that are created in the browser memory when you first enter the site and exist as long as the browser is open. Once the browser is closed, the browser deletes these cookies. Our site uses cookies to verify and insure single voting on our polls as well as to aggregate broad demographic data as it relates to user behavior. You also have choices with respect to cookies. By modifying your browser preferences, you have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies.
How do I enable cookies in my browser?
Please read this section.

Enabling Cookies or JavaScript
Please read the following page describing how to enable receiving cookies or enabling JavaScript from JPost.com: How To Enable JavaScript and Cookies on Your Browser.

Login In and out
I filled in a username and password, but the system told me "Error - Bad username or password." What should I do?
If you have already registered, you should be automatically logged in to the system when you come to jpost.com. Your computer needs to have its "cookies" and "JavaScript" functions turned on for this to work. To learn how to do that, please click here.
I forgot my password, and it won't let me look at articles. What do I do?
If you do not remember your password, click on the link that says, "Click here if you already have registered and/or have lost your password." You will then be sent to a screen that will ask you for your username and date of birth. The system will then send you an e-mail giving you your password.
