Official raffle rules

The following are the terms and conditions of the JPost.com raffle ('Raffle‘) which is promoted by The Jerusalem Post Ltd. ('JPOST'). Your participation in the Raffle shall be deemed your acceptance of the terms and conditions contained herein.

1. he Raffle is open to all users who wish to enter, however, the prizes can only be collected by a person 18 years or over. You may be required, at any stage, to provide JPOST with proof of age and/or identity.
   
   
2. mployees and relatives of employees of JPOST, including the supervisor, and any entities affiliated or related to the JPOST are not eligible to enter. For these purposes, the term 'relative' shall mean spouse, partner, parent, child or sibling.
   
   
3. The Raffle promotion period shall commence on [August 7th, 2007] and shall end on [November 1st, 2007].
   
   
4. The Raffle draw will take place on November 1, 2007 or at a later date, at JPOST's sole discretion, provided JPOST has provided a reasonable notice and shall take place at the registered offices of JPOST. The drawing shall be conducted under the supervision of a CPA.
   
   
5. The number of entries received will determine odds of winning. All entries have an equal chance of winning. The winner will be selected by random drawing among all eligible entries received. To learn the winner's identity (available after November 1st, 2007), visit this page
   
   
6. Your participation in the Raffle will be deemed as your agreement for JPOST to collect the information provided by you during registry to the Raffle, such as [name, email, user ID and password] ('Personal Information'). JPOST may ask you to indicate whether you are interested in receiving emails and other information from JPOST. If you elect to receive these communications, we will occasionally send you emails or other information that match your requests.    In addition, we do not disclose your Personal Information to third parties for the third-party's direct marketing purposes if we have received and processed a request from you that your Personal Information not be shared with third parties for that purpose. If you would like to submit such a request, please just let us know by emailing, calling or writing to us using the contact information listed above.

   You may review the information we have collected and where appropriate you may request that it be corrected. Please clearly indicate the information that you wish to review or have changed. We will endeavor to comply with your request as soon as reasonably possible.

   We may use your Personal Information in any of the following ways: (i) for internal business purposes, such as analyzing and managing our businesses; (ii) to provide you with email updates and announcements concerning our products and special promotions. You may opt-out of receiving these messages from us at any time; (iii) we work with third parties who provide services, including web site hosting, data analysis, promotional activities, and other administrative services. We may share your Personal Information with such third parties for the purpose of enabling such third parties to provide such services.

7. All winners are responsible for the payment of any and all taxes and/or licenses and/or other related fees that may apply to such winnings. Taxes on prizes are solely the responsibility of the winners. JPOST reserves the right to replace the advertised prize(s) with a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize(s) is/are no longer available.
   
   
8. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of any prize constitutes permission for JPOST to use the winner's names, photographs, likenesses, voices, addresses and testimonials, in print, broadcast, or new media, in perpetuity, in any manner they deem appropriate in connection with promoting this or any other raffle and/or promotion sponsored by them without further compensation.
   
   
9. JPOST and its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and representatives and their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising, promotion and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries; (ii) failed, returned, or misdirected notifications based on inaccurate information provided by the winner; or (iii) telephone, electronic, hardware, or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties resulting from participation in this Raffle of otherwise; (iv) errors in transmission; (v) any condition caused by events beyond the control of JPOST that may cause the Raffle to be disrupted or corrupted; (vi) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by a prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the Raffle; or (vi) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Raffle.
   
   
10. JPOST reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Raffle should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond their control that corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Raffle. JPOST further reserves the right to modify the rules of the Raffle in any way or at any time, as long as reasonable notice is given.
    
    
11. The Raffle prizes shall be round trip airfare for two, 7 night hotel stay and seven days of a car rental (the 'Prize'). The Prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable; the Prize may not be exchanged for money or money's worth.
    
    
12. The Prize winner shall be notified via email that it has won the Prize. The Prize winner must accept the Prize within thirty (30) days from receipt of notification of winning. In the event that, for any reason whatsoever, the Prize winner does not accept the Prize at a time stipulated by JPOST, then such winning entrant shall be deemed to have forfeited his/her claim to the Prize and JPOST shall have no obligation to compensate the winning entrant in any way. The potential winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release, and except where prohibited by law, a publicity release, which must be returned to JPOST within seven (7) days of receipt of notification or Prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected.
    
    
13. JPOST's decision on all matters relating to the awarding of the Prize shall be final and shall not be subject to review or appeal by any entrant or third party.
    
    
14. Your participation in the Raffle will be deemed as your agreement for JPOST to use your name, likeness or image for promotional purposes without the requirement for any payment to you and you expressly waive any claims relating against JPOST in this regard.
    
    
15. By entering the Raffle each entrant unreservedly agrees to these terms and conditions which govern the Raffle and the awarding of the Prize.
    
    
16. By entering the Raffle each entrant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless JPOST, its legal representatives, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any damages whatsoever, including any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the acceptance of the Prize.
    
    
17. JPOST reserves the right, at any time, to cancel, modify or suspend the Raffle if, in the judgment of JPOST, the Raffle is not capable of being conducted as specified.
    
    
18. JPOST may prohibit you from participating in the Raffle, if at the sole discretion of JPOST, you repeatedly show a disregard for these Rules, or act (i) in an unsportsmanlike manner; (ii) with an intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other participant or representative of JPOST; or (iii) in any other disruptive manner
    
    
19. These terms and conditions and any matters relating hereto shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the District of Tel Aviv-Yaffa, Israel.
