Ruling expected today on Channel 5's coverage of Olympics
By Viva Sarah Press

(September 12) - Channel 5 will find out just how extensive its Olympic coverage will be, as a court is expected to rule today on an appeal to determine whether or not the sports channel can employ its two crews it had planned on using in Sydney.

The dispute over how many people Channel 5 can use began after Channel 1 refused to give accreditation to the sports channel in Australia. Channel 1 said it had agreed to one crew with four personnel, while Channel 5 said two crews were to be accredited.

A Tel Aviv court ruling last month ruled that Channel 5 has the right to send two crews, with 12 individual accreditations to the Olympics, but Channel 1 appealed the ruling.
