Katash headed home with injury
By Tzviel Blankchtein

(September 12, 2000) - Oded Katash is arriving in Israel this morning to recuperate from a knee injury, according to his team Panathinaikos, the defending European basketballchampions.

However, there are rumors in Greece that Katash had a fight with Panathinaikos's assistant coach during training camp while head coach Zelimir Obradovich is in Sidney to prepare the Yugoslavian national team for the Olympics.

'Oded injured his knee and he's coming to check it here and to see what's the damage,' Katash's uncle and agent, Moshe Krikove confirmed yesterday. However, Krikove refused to comment on the rumors about Katash leaving the camp because of a fight.

Meanwhile, Maccabi Tel Aviv opened its exhibition season with a 86-74 victory over Iraklis in Italy. Nate Huffman led Maccabi with 17 point, while Anthony Parker had 14.
