2. Dr. Robert Ballard
Most three-week visits to Israel don't cost a million dollars, but then again, famed ocean explorer Ballard (he's the guy who found the wreck of the Titanic) wasn't on a typical sight-seeing tour. In fact, for most of his stay he was underwater. The money was well-spent. Ballard discovered the world's oldest known shipwrecks: a completely preserved pair of Phoenician cargo ships from 750 BCE buried 500 meters deep.
