Former career: geologist.

Former political posts: Member of Knesset since 1988. Briefly Minister of Science in the government of Binyamin Netanyahu (1996-7).

Basic positions: Staunch supporter of Greater Israel, and totally distrustful of the Palestinian leadership. In favor of honesty in politics and the rule of law.
