The Hebrew University provides much more than lectures. The diverse
academic offerings are complemented by a variety of exciting
extracurricular activities, including seminars and tours.
Opportunities are available for students to engage in supervised
independent studies or research internships where credit is earned
for "hands on" experience.
The Rothberg International School is located in the Louis H. Boyar
Building, a brand new state-of-the-art facility in the heart of the
Mount Scopus campus.
The Rothberg International School offers the following programs of study:
Preparatory Program (Mechina) - Year-long program serving as a gateway to Israeli society in general and to degree programs at the Hebrew University in particular.
Division of Undergraduate Studies
- Nativ Program - designed for North-American USY high school graduates
- Freshman Program - an opportunity for high school graduates from abroad to spend their first year of university studies in Jerusalem combining Hebrew study with college-level coursework in English.
- One Year Program (including the Pre-Med Specialization) and Semester Option designed for qualified undergraduates who have completed at least one year of university and wish to earn credits which may be transferred to their home schools.
Division of Graduate Studies
- Graduate Year Program - offered jointly with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to satisfy a broad range of students, from those who have just completed their undergraduate degrees to those researching their doctoral dissertations.

students, adults, and professional groups in Israel and from
abroad varying from one day to several months
- HUGY (Hebrew University Gap Year) - program for qualified
secondary school graduates from the United Kingdom.

- Summer Ulpan and Winter Ulpan - -intensive Modern Hebrew Language Courses.
