CAN YOUR CHILDREN WASH, DRESS AND FEED THEMSELVES?
Imagine raising a child who can't.
Handicapped children can't, alone. They need help. They also need
special schools, housing, transportation and tender, loving care -
that's what they get from ILAN.
ILAN PROJECTS IN JERUSALEM:
ILAN HOME FOR THE HANDICAPPED-GILO, a home for 68 severally handicapped
adults (including nine married couples) from all over Israel requiring
round-the-clock intensive nursing care.
BEIT TAMAR, a family style home for ten severely handicapped children
whose families cannot cope with raising a handicapped child at home and
respite facility for handicapped children from the community.
ILAN SHELTERED WORKSHOP, providing employment for 26 severely
handicapped adults in handicrafts.
ILANOT SCHOOL FOR HANDICAPPED CHILDREN, educating 53 wheelchair-bound
children aged 6-21, providing para-medical services and operating 11 1/2
months a year.
ALL ILAN facilities in Jerusalem are full with long waiting lists. An
ambitious new development project is underway to build ILAN HILL on Mt.
Scopus. Here, two new homes for handicapped children and young
adults and a new expanded vocational center will be built. Dozens of
handicapped youth and their families, who have desperately waited years
for housing and employment, will be helped. A total of $8 million is
needed to make this dream a reality.
Your generous donations can make these dreams come true and help provide
the following vital needs:
